Enrolling on 4hOnline

You have decided to try this 4-H thing out so now what??

Well first CONGRATULATIONS!!! Deciding to jump into 4-H is the great thing to do for your child's future. I participated for 11 years and look at me... just kidding!!

But seriously, if you have committed to being a part of 4-H it is time to get your child enrolled on 4hOnline. 4hOnline is the web-based registration program that allows youth to be participate in county and statewide events, including county and state fairs. Nebraska just passed in January of 2021 that all counties across the state will have enrollment on 4hOnline open until June 15th. HOWEVER, we strongly encourage you to sign up early so that you can keep up to date on upcoming events.

4hOnline can seem kind of daunting the first time you get on! Below are some videos you can you watch as you go through the process. Here are also some helpful tips:

  1. Use Chrome as your internet browser. It is the only browser this program likes for some reason!
  2. Go to https://ne.4honline.com to sign up.
  3. Write down your password!! You will need it next year to re-enroll.
  4. If you can't remember your password or email that you used for a previous enrollment, CALL THE OFFICE. Please do not create a new family because then Katlyn has to do some miracle work to merge and archive and so on.
  5. Use the same family to enroll all youth (and adults) in your household.
  6. Feel free to use the Parent 2 information to keep the child's other parent informed also, especially in split households.
  7. Each youth, ages 8-18 years old, must pay their $5 enrollment fee in order to be accepted on 4hOnline. You can pay by credit card on the website or please stop by the office as soon as you can to pay in cash or check! Clover Kids and adult volunteers are free.
  8. You do not have add the adults in your family unless they are going to be volunteering. Volunteering would be a club leader, a project leader, livestock committee member, or helping at club. Only Club leaders and council members have to do the full DHHS background check but all volunteers have to sign a paper in the office before working with youth.
If you have any questions at any time during the process, please call the office at 308-262-1022 for help.

Step 1 - Add a Family

Welcome to 4-H!!!

4-H is an awesome program for youth to develop life-long skills that will set them ahead of their peers in their academic and professional journeys ahead of them. I am not just saying that because I have to! I am saying that because I am an example of it!  My mom enrolled me in 4-H when I was 8. Things were different back then - no clover kids and you could only take one project your first year. That was a tough decision with so many things sounding so cool and interesting at that age. With my mom's influence, I started with sewing. I could enter within Sewing Level 1, which was called Sew for Fun back then, and actually take 3-4 different projects. That began my sewing career. While I don't do a lot of sewing today, I entered at least one project every year until a senior in high school. I made dress-up clothes for game days, games for kids, and a few other random items. I was honored to represent my county two years at the State Fashion Show.  While I didn't realize the

YQCA Enrollment

What in the world is YQCA you ask?  YQCA stands for Youth for the Quality Care of Animals. It is a REQUIRED course that helps teach youth about the proper care and management of animals. 4-H and FFA livestock shows aren't just about showing the animal, after all!! Instead we strive to teach you about responsibility, record keeping, empathy for others and animals, goal setting, the list could go on and on.   YQCA is a class that helps youth with some of the background behind taking care of animals before and after the fair. The program focuses on three main areas throughout the training: Animal Well-being, Food Safety, and Life Skills.  Youth that take any of the following animals to the fair are REQUIRED to participate in YQCA or they will NOT be able to sell their animal. Certification is due on June 15th.  Market Beef Market Lamb Market Goat Market Swine Rabbit Poultry *Notice that Breeding stock, bucket calves, and feeder calves are not required. However, we highly encourage
